From a large corporate perspective there was much that was welcome in the Budget.

Tax professionals have found a good deal to be positive about in a paper setting out the government’s strategy for tackling tax avoidance – an issue that seems set to assume an even higher profile than it has in recent months.

The Budget was positive for most corporate groups with an extension of capital allowances, no increase to VAT, and the 1% reduction of corporation tax.
