Simon York CBE is HMRC’s chief investigation officer and director of its Fraud Investigation Service which deploys a wide range of techniques, capabilities and powers (including criminal investigations) to tackle serious tax fraud and money laundering. He helped establish the ‘J5’, and works closely with other law enforcement agencies both in the UK and internationally.
