The Tax Credits Act 2002 (Further Commencement and Transitional Provisions) Order, SI 2011/2910, defers to 31 December 2014 the abolition of certain benefits set to be replaced by child tax credit.

HMRC has updated its FAQs on the agreement signed on 6 October.

The telephone numbers for HMRC's tax credits helpline have been changed. The main number for tax credits queries is 0345 300 3900. The new textphone number is 0345 300 3909.

Callers will be still able to use the old numbers, beginning 0845, for about the next 18 months.

HM Treasury published draft clauses for Finance Bill 2012 on 6 December 2011. The draft legislation is open for consultation until 10 February 2012. See page 4 onwards. ...
