Uruguay has deposited its instrument of ratification for the Multilateral convention to implement tax treaty related measures to prevent base erosion and profit shifting (multilateral convention or MLI) with the OECD. The convention will enter into force for Uruguay on 1 June 2020.
This brings to 42 the number of jurisdictions to have ratified, accepted or approved the MLI.
