I am the first to admit that I do enjoy a good cliche and that I use more cliches than you can shake a stick at but what is it with us tax professionals that drives us to use cliches that are either inappropriate or meaningless? Having worked for several years with the excellent John Jeffrey-Cook whose correct use of the English language was renowned I think I am entitled to ask!
