On 5 October it made a pleasant change for me to attend a VAT conference as a delegate having passed the chairman's baton this year to Michael Conlon QC another very experienced conference chairman who not only introduced the speakers and chaired the panel sessions but also presented a session on relevant VAT cases affecting the sector.
