HMRC has published responses to its consultation on proposed changes to the rules to prevent tax loss from the operation of the construction industry scheme. Measures to tackle abuse were ‘generally supported’, and the government will take account of points made around implementation of the new power enabling HMRC to amend the CIS deduction claim on the Employer Payment Summary.
