HMRC’s latest statistics show the soft drinks industry levy has raised £153.8m since its introduction in April this year.
The number of live traders who have registered for the levy is 457. Over 90% of net liabilities were declared at the higher rate of 24p per litre, applying to drinks with sugar content at or above 8 grams per 100ml. See https://bit.ly/2BmJjZp.
