The temporary exemption from the single-use carrier bags
charge, for delivery or collection of goods in Wales, has been extended until
31 December 2020. The exemption was previously extended until 8 July, to
mitigate the risk of transmission of Covid-19 and increase the efficiency of
deliveries during that period. The Single Use Carrier Bags Charge (Wales)
(Amendment) (No 2) Regulations, SI 2020/593 introduce the extension with effect
from 9 July 2020.
