This was the first PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) regional tax conference dedicated to exploring the tax and business issues relating to doing business in Central and Eastern Europe Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CEE/CIS).
The conference was opened by Péter Gerendási PwC CEE/CIS Tax and Legal Services Leader who emphasised that 2005 was a record year for foreign direct investment (FDI) in the region and that a country's tax policies were important in the minds of investors in terms of future investment decisions.
