Press speculation prior to 18 March 2004 had billed the 2004 Budget as being heavily focused on property. Perhaps thankfully however the reality of Budget day did not live up to this hype. Notwithstanding this the Chancellor did announce a number of new initiatives rules and consultation exercises that should keep property businesses and occupiers busy over the coming months. A summary of the key changes is set out below.
