Clifford Chance has elected a new global tax, pensions and employment (TPE) head, Chris Davies. He will start his four-year term in the global role, replacing outgoing head David Harkness (who remains at the firm), on 1 January 2014.

Baker & McKenzie has appointed Mark Bevington as principal tax adviser in the firm’s London corporate tax practice. He joins from EY, where he was a partner.

BDO has announced the appointment of two tax partners: Karen McGrory (formerly RSM Tenon) joins the expatriate team in London, and Jane Mulholland (formerly PwC) joins the corporate tax team in Southampton.

Vinson & Elkins has promoted Jenny Doak, a member of its London based tax group, to equity partner with effect from 1 January 2014.

Temple Tax Chambers has announced the appointment of Michael Quinlan and Derek Francis as members. Quinlan joins from Deloitte and Derek Francis joins from Terra Firma Chambers (Gordon Reid QC) Edinburgh.
