printer Mail

HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) has published new guidance for members of the public and probate professionals on applying for probate online. The guidance includes an update on how HMCTS is planning to enhance the online probate service during 2021 with several improvements such as accepting digital applications by trust corporations and removing the requirement for solicitors to have their clients sign the statement of truth. HMCTS also aims to improve GOV.UK guidance for probate applications, and streamline processes between HMCTS and HMRC when accounting for IHT form IHT421.
