You’ve recently joined PwC to focus on the asset management sector. Why did you decide to leave the legal profession to join a big four firm?
I wanted to pursue a new challenge in the world of tax after 25 years as a tax lawyer in a law firm and I was interested in experiencing a bigger tax practice and having greater day to day involvement with clients. I also chose to focus on asset management tax as this is an area I have always found produces interesting and complex projects – asset manager clients care about tax and appreciate the intellectual vigour that is needed to address the issues.
