O'Donnell on Tax Reform

 
John Arnold Chairman of the ICAEW VAT Committee and Director of European Tax Services with Ernst & Young in the Netherlands reports on this year's Hardman Lecture
 
Gus O'Donnell the Permanent Secretary HM Treasury gave this year's ICAEW Tax Faculty Hardman Memorial Lecture on 18 November 2004 to an invited audience of 200 in Chartered Accountants' Hall. In a thoughtful and thought-provoking tour d'horizon entitled Reforming Britain's tax administration and policymaking he covered the transfer of policymaking to the Treasury and the merger of the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise into Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs in April 2005.
