The Social Security (Contributions) (Limits and Thresholds, National Insurance Funds Payments and Extension of Veterans Relief) Regulations, SI 2024/249, maintain the current Class 1 NICs limits and thresholds for 2024/25. This is the continuation of the government’s policy to freeze various personal tax rates and thresholds until 2027/28.
The secondary Class 1 NICs relief for employers of armed forces veterans is also extended to April 2025 (it otherwise would have expired at the end of 2023/24).
