Tax Law Rewrite Project
 
The Tax Law Rewrite Project recently published its plans for 2008/09 (see http://snipurl.com/2b84d). Also included in the document were these paragraphs on the future of the Project:
 
'The support and highly skilled input of representative bodies has been vital to the success of the project. During 2007/08 some of the representative bodies most actively engaged in the work of the Tax Law Rewrite project suggested that the project should be brought to a close upon completion of the rewrite of corporation tax. Subsequent consultation on the future of the project indicated widespread (though not universal) support for this proposal.
