'The Communications Workers Union has announced to Royal Mail their intention to hold two national strikes this week on 22 and 23 October.
'If you still plan to post your self-assessment tax return please make sure you allow plenty of time for it to reach HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) before the 31 October deadline for paper tax returns.
'HMRC would like customers to be aware that:
● It's your responsibility to make sure that your return is received on time. For paper returns the deadline is Saturday 31 October.
