printer Mail

HMRC has appointed Alan Evans as its new general counsel and solicitor, who will formally take up the role on 1 January 2019.

Currently the legal director at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Mr Evans has during his career worked in the City, at the European Commission, and across a number of government departments.

He replaces David Bunting, who has filled the role on an interim basis since Gill Aitken’s departure in June.
