HMRC has published its quarterly update to the advisory fuel rates which employers can use (without a taxable benefit arising) where they reimburse employees for the cost of fuel used for business travel in company cars. The revised rates apply from 1 December 2022.
The main change is a 1p per mile reduction for petrol cars and a 1p per mile increase for LPG cars. The amounts for diesel cars are unchanged from the September rates. The advisory rate for fully electric cars has been increased from 5p to 8p per mile.
