Four new HMRC taskforces have been set up, each with the following aims:
to recover £3.6m by targeting tax evasion in the Scottish fishing industry;
to recover £5.5m by targeting tax evasion in the holiday industry in Blackpool, the Lake District and North Wales (£3m) and South Wales, Devon and Cornwall (£2.5m);
to recover £3.8m by targeting tax evasion in the restaurant trade in the North East and Lincolnshire;
to recover £3.5m by targeting tax evasion in the haulage industry in the Midlands.
