The Treasury’s consultation on improving the effectiveness of the UK’s anti-money laundering rules (SI 2017/692) runs until 9 June 2024. In the meantime, the Treasury has added details of several virtual events to its main consultation web page, setting out a number of round tables for organisations across the different regulated sectors. Firms regulated by the accountancy sector professional body supervisors are invited to join an online discussion with Treasury officials on Tuesday, 30 April 2024 at 11am. The session is expected to run for one hour. A follow-up session, for all sectors, is scheduled for 11am on Tuesday 7 May.
