I first met Maurice 25 years ago when I moved office (and country?) from Edinburgh to London on qualification. In those days our tax practice in Edinburgh consisted of one partner two managers and in the last year of my apprenticeship me. Our tax practice in London was huge by comparison with several hundred people.
