The Cabinet Office has announced the appointment of Jim Harra as the new chief executive and first permanent secretary at HMRC.
Mr Harra had been covering the role on an interim basis since 1 October, when Sir Jonathan Thompson moved to become chief executive of the Financial Reporting Council.
