printer Mail

The European Commission, after consulting with all member states and the UK, has decided to extend the temporary relief for customs duties and VAT on the import of medical devices and protective equipment from third countries to 31 October 2020 to help in the fight against coronavirus. The initial period was due to expire on 31 July 2020. This covers masks and protective equipment as well as testing kits, ventilators and other medical equipment. HMRC has also updated its guidance with similar effect.
