HMRC has updated its guidance on the tax agent strategy, including the development of new online services for agents by March 2015 aimed at helping agents with clients’ tax affairs. These services will include the introduction of a single, secure process for agents to register with HMRC and obtain a unique agent reference, and a new streamlined agent authorisation process.
In addition, HMRC has also published Agent Update 37, the bi-monthly round up of the latest developments in tax, HMRC service and consultations for accountants and tax professionals including a section on the latest news and issues from the working together network.
