The Law Society, in collaboration with the Courts and Tribunals
Service (HMCTS), STEP , Solicitors for the Elderly and the ICAEW, has published
a probate
frequently asked questions document to help support legal professionals
using the probate service. The working document includes FAQs relating to online
and paper applications, IHT queries, the probate process and guidance on
acceptable forms of signature. The document will continue to be updated by
HMCTS, and the Law Society welcomes feedback from practitioners which it says
it will address with HMCTS.
