Alan Dolton editor of Tolley's Tax Cases concludes our summaries of the Public Bill Committee debates on the Finance Bill
The Public Bill Committee began its final day at 9am on Thursday 19 June. The Committee Chairman Sir Nicholas Winterton welcomed Members in his usual optimistic manner saying:
'I know we are going to make good progress. That has come down to me through the usual channels.'
Philip Hammond (Conservative Runnymede & Weybridge) showed more knowledge of what lay ahead stating:
