The European Commission VAT Committee has published its latest list of guidelines, updated to 2 July 2018.
The VAT Committee is an advisory committee set up to promote uniform application of the provisions of the VAT directive. The committee cannot take legally binding decisions, but can give guidance on the application of the directive. One of the committee’s functions is to examine questions concerning the application of EU VAT provisions raised by the Commission or a member state.
