Alcohol taxation
The Treasury published on 30 November in ‘Review of Alcohol Taxation’ details of proposed changes to beer duties following consultation which ended in August on a review to ‘tackle problem drinking without unfairly penalising pubs responsible drinkers or local industry’. Draft Finance Bill 2011 clauses will be published on 9 December.
