The summer has proved to be anything but a quiet period for charity taxation and a number of important developments have taken place.
Tax relief for individual donations to charities
 
HM Revenue & Customs published a report on this subject during the summer.
 
The purpose was to increase understanding of the relationship between charitable giving by individuals and the tax relief available on their gifts.
 
Some interesting findings include:
 
●     Nine out of ten people gave to charity over the past year but mainly in spontaneously....
