Scrutiny Committee (ESC), government departments have been asked to provide an
update on how coronavirus is likely to impact on the UK position post-Brexit
and on the likely future UK-EU relationship. Issues covered include the
enforcement of international trade rules, the continued application of EU VAT
law in Northern Ireland under article 8 of the Northern Ireland Protocol and
the European Commission’s guidance on air cargo and maritime safety.
