More than 600 tax enquiries targeting people in the plumbing industry will be under way by the time the Plumbers Tax Safe Plan disclosure opportunity closes at the end of this month, HMRC have warned.

The OECD announced the appointment of Pascal Saint-Amans as Director of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration. He will take up his duties in February 2012 on the retirement of Jeffrey Owens. Saint-Amans became Head of the OECD’s Global Forum Division in October 2009.
