As previously reported in Tax Journal, the Welsh Assembly’s Finance Committee published the Tax Collection and Management (Wales) Bill in draft to establish the Welsh Revenue Authority, and put in place the legal framework for administration of the proposed new devolved taxes, land transaction tax and landfill disposals tax, from April 2018. The Bill will put in place the legal framework necessary for the future collection and management of devolved taxes in Wales. The Finance Committee has invited comments on the Bill for consultation until 8 September 2015. See www.bit.ly/1Ho2aeL.
