The Childcare Payments Act 2014 (Commencement No 4) Regulations, SI 2017/750, bring into effect from 14 July 2017 the new childcare payments scheme (‘tax-free childcare’) for children born on or after 1 April 2013 and before 1 September 2013, and their siblings. Previous sets of commencement regulations for the scheme have covered:
children born on or after 1 September 2013 and disabled children (from 21 April 2017);
participants in the trial of the new joint online childcare application service (from 14 November 2016); and
HMRC’s information and penalty powers (from 20 July 2016).
