Continuing our regular feature the Norton Rose Pensions Team brings us a pensions update
HMRC extends money laundering registration period
In our previous Pensions Updates we reported on the new money laundering registration requirements for trustees 'acting by way of business'. HMRC has announced that such trustees need not register with HMRC until a minimum of four weeks after revised guidance has been published. HMRC had already recently extended the period for entities to register for money laundering purposes from 1 April 2008 until 31 May 2008. It is not yet known when HMRC will publish the revised guidance.
