MEPs voted in the plenary session of the EU Parliament on 17 December to approve an amending regulation on enhanced administrative measures to tackle VAT fraud, together with an amending directive requiring payment service providers to keep records of cross-border e-commerce transactions from January 2024. ECOFIN reached political agreement on these measures in November 2019.
