The CPG — the Customs Practitioners Group — meets every second month at different locations around London typically in offices of the firms to which its members belong. It is has only the one branch but as most of the members know each other extremely well it is an easy-going group which concentrates on matters relating to the commercial customs aspects of international trade. It is a less formal organisation than the VAT Practitioners Group and a relaxed atmosphere prevails which most of those attending find conducive to a mutually beneficial exchange of information.
