printer Mail

The chancellor announced in December that the job retention scheme would be extended to the end of April 2021, with the government continuing to contribute 80% of wages. The various business loan schemes have been extended to the end of March 2021. On 5 January 2021, following the announcement of a national lockdown in England, the chancellor set out an additional support package for businesses, with help focused on the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors (with one-off grants worth up to £9,000 ‘per property’). The chancellor also indicated that further measures would be announced at Budget 2021.
