The Public Bill Committee resumed its consideration of the Finance Bill on Tuesday 2 June discussing clause 17 (rates of air passenger duty). Conservative spokesman Greg Hands (Hammersmith & Fulham) commented:
'Part 3 is banded at £50 for economy and £100 for all premium classes. That includes India China Japan and much of Latin America and is a 25% rise.
