All remaining stages for Finance Bill 2020 will be completed in
the House of Lords on 17 July. There is no power to amend the Bill in the House
or Lords, so Lords’ consideration of the Bill is limited and something of a
formality.
With all stages complete, Finance Act 2020 is likely to receive
royal assent sometime after 17 July and before the House of Commons summer
recess begins on 22 July (our guess is 21 July, but we’re not staking our
career on it).
