HMRC has updated its guidance Film & TV production restart scheme to confirm that the scheme has been extended by six months and will now close to new registrations on 30 April 2022 and provide cover for claims up to 30 June 2022. The scheme was introduced to provide insurance cover for film and tv productions, for coronavirus-related losses. Although this is not a tax-relief scheme, its eligibility rules borrow certain definitions from the UK creative industry tax relief schemes.
