Following the five day extension of the 6 July deadline for filing employment-related securities (ERS) annual returns due to technical issues with the online service, we understand that HMRC has confirmed that the service is now live.
HMRC confirmed that if taxpayers file their returns on or before Tuesday 4 August 2015, they will not be charged a penalty and will not need to contact HMRC.
HMRC will publish further information regarding the question of re-submissions in due course, including confirmation of whether customers who filed their returns on or before 3 July 2015 and received an on-screen acknowledgement might need to re-submit their returns.
