HMRC reminded medical professionals with undisclosed tax liabilities that they need to notify by 31 March their intention to make a disclosure under the Tax Health Plan. Disclosure and payment must be made by 30 June. A series of FAQs is available via www.lexisurl.com/sC5do.

RSM Tenon called for the notification deadline to be moved to 30 April. Tax Director Gary Ashford said the 31 March deadline coincided with the end of the NHS year. 'Early signs are that not many medical professionals are taking up the disclosure facility … my concern is that they are so busy focusing on their mountain of paperwork that they have not even considered their position ' he said.
