On the evening of 17 June VAT practitioners from around the UK descended on the Marriott hotel in the Forest of Arden near Coventry for the VPG AGM followed by dinner. Several former members some now retired had been invited and it was good to see the likes of Kevin Casey (now living in Portugal) Stephen Dale and James Dixon attending. Once again the regular attendance of an invited contingent from Customs led by Chris Tailby was much appreciated as was the presence of Jean Claude Bouchard an eminent French VAT lawyer.
