Senator Barack Obama of Illinois is getting plenty of media coverage at the moment but his link to the world of tax is little known. In fact Senator Obama is a supporter of proposed US legislation entitled the 'Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act' which amends the US Internal Revenue Code in an attempt to ensure that all US tax return filers have to disclose their interest in and the benefit they obtain from their interests in entities in 34 listed tax havens.
