John Hayward Pension Consultant reports from the annual Henry Stewart Conference Studies Small Self-Administered Pension Arrangements Conference held in London in February 2005
The 25th annual Henry Stewart Conference Studies Small Self-Administered Pension Arrangements Conference was held in London in February 2005 and attended by a record 190 pensions practitioners involved with small self-administered pension schemes (SSAS). Most of the Conference was devoted to the simplification of pensions and the legislation contained in FA 2004 effective from 6 April 2006 and the effect this would have on SSAS. A team from the Revenue was available throughout the day during the panel sessions to answer questions in detail on the new legislation — a greatly appreciated feature.
