Putting Large Businesses at the Heart of HMRC

By merging two departments and working closely with HM Treasury HMRC is now in a position to strengthen our relationship with businesses large and small. HMRC is putting businesses at the heart of its work with the establishment of two dedicated units: the Large Business Service responsible for the day-to-day tax affairs of the country's largest forms; and the Large Business and Employers Customer Unit which liaises on matters of policy and strategy.
 
Well-established lines of communication already exist between the UK's largest companies and HMRC through formal consultation groups industry bodies and personal contacts. But our new structure provides a fresh way to work together. We...
