Producing Better Guidance

The Better Guidance Programme is helping HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to deliver tax policy consistently at the front line. To achieve this we are developing a single source of mass-market guidance for use across the range of channels through which we communicate with our customers which can also be updated quickly and easily.

Our aim is to ensure high standards are established for our guidance and we intend to monitor the way these standards are applied to ensure this material is up-to-date and meets users' needs. We are also exploring the potential for introducing interactive guidance tools to enable customers their advisers and HMRC staff to resolve problems quickly...
