HMRC has published a consultation to seek views on draft Registered Pension Schemes (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2022. The regulations will extend information and reporting deadlines for scheme pays and the annual allowance tax charge. The regulations will be introduced alongside Finance Act 2022 changes and will apply following a retrospective change of facts that affects an individual’s pension input amount for a previous tax year. The legislation is due to take effect from 6 April 2022. The consultation closes on 15 March 2022. HMRC had previously published a Tax Information and Impact Note explaining the changes.
